The Duchess of Sussex turned heads in Paris this weekend, making an unannounced appearance at Balenciaga’s runway show during Fashion Week.
Meghan, 44, flew in alone from California to support the brand’s new creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, a long-time collaborator and friend. It was her first time at the high-profile event in more than ten years.
She arrived in a crisp white jumpsuit paired with a cape-style blazer, sleek black heels, and her hair pulled back in a minimalist bun. Cameras later captured her in a second look—a black dress accessorised with a gold necklace.
A spokesperson for the duchess explained the visit was about more than fashion: “This evening reflects the culmination of many years of artistry and friendship, reflected in her support for his new creative chapter at Balenciaga.”
Inside the venue, Meghan was spotted greeting Vogue’s Anna Wintour and director Baz Luhrmann, underlining the show’s celebrity-heavy guest list. On Instagram, she teased her Paris arrival with a short video filmed from the back seat of her car as it passed city landmarks.
Fashion Week in Paris, which concludes on Tuesday, also features showcases from Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Hermès.
Now based in Montecito with Prince Harry and their children Archie and Lilibet, Meghan has been expanding her influence in the style world. This year, she launched a digital lifestyle shop and appeared in a Netflix docuseries that highlighted her blend of luxury and accessible fashion.
Her surprise Paris outing follows a period of focus on family life in California, while Harry continues to juggle his own UK legal challenges and periodic visits, including a recent meeting with King Charles.
